SUMMARY:2019 Endless Opportunities Education Event
DESCRIPTION:Endless Opportunities -- a joint venture between the Decatur Morgan County Chamber\, the Morgan County Economic Development Association\, the Greater Limestone County Chamber of Commerce and Association of Builders and Contractors - is a hands-on expo event where 8th grade students from across Morgan County take part in career opportunity "worlds" connected to the 17 career clusters identified by the State of Alabama. Each student's worlds are a result of their interest inventory captured through the Kuder Navigator System   administered as part of the school curricula   and student choice. Career worlds include Agriculture\, Food & Natural Resources\; Architecture & Construction\; Arts\, A/V Technology & Communications\; Business Management & Administration\; Education & Training\; Finance\; Government & Public Administration\; Health Science\; Hospitality & Tourism\; Human Services\; Information Technology\; Law\, Public Safety\, Corrections & Security\; Manufacturing\; Marketing\; Science\, Technology\, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM)\; and Transportation\, Distribution & Logistics.\n\n\n\nProfessionals from each area engage students in activities that will help explain how careers in each area are developed and how to prepare for each field of study. After attending the expo\, students are better equipped to complete their four-year plan\, now part of each student's high school requirements. \n\n\n\nDay one from schools systems across Morgan County (Decatur City\, Hartselle City and Morgan County Schools)\, while day two is students from across Limestone County.\n\n\n\nEndless Opportunities is presented by 3M.
