This 3-day camp helps students gain hands-on experience with electric and hybrid vehicles, build an electric motor, learn the basics of gas engines ''including setting the engine up on a test stand and making it run! Participants will also work with cutting-edge diagnostic tools. This camp is for students entering 9th-12th grades. Camp is held at the Calhoun Community College Automotive Technology Center at the Decatur Campus.

This 2-day summer camp will be open to twenty-five students entering 9th-12th grades and is planned for June 16-17, 2026 at the Calhoun Community College Decatur Campus. Students will explore careers within Calhoun's Health Science Division in an immersive, hands-on experience with an emphasis on careers in the Decatur-Morgan County area. Calhoun will provide transportation on day two for a tour of the Huntsville campus. The Chamber's Educational Camp programs feature hands-on and interactive environments where students receive training and exposure to careers of the future. Automotive, Cyber, Healthcare, Precision Machining and SWeETy camps will be the featured programs for 2025, along with the potential of others added based on the needs of our workforce community. The audience will include high school students and education leadership teams in Decatur-Morgan County.
