Boeing’s Human Resources (HR) organization is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support our Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Engineering organization in Huntsville, Alabama.

The candidate will be responsible for partnering with senior leaders, managers and individual contributors across SI&WS Engineering. Our HR community is composed of incredible, diverse HR professionals who are driven by understanding and advocating for employees and are passionate around mentoring leaders. This individual will provide high-value, coordinated consultation and integrated solutions to tackle business challenges, proactively mitigate risks and provide data-driven solutions to our Engineering organization.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience developing solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation

  • Experience creating and articulating data-driven HR solutions to senior leaders

  • Experience developing winning staffing strategies and action plans

  • Track record of establishing strong relationships through trust, credibility, expertise and business acumen

  • Track record of leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to achieve results in an environment of ambiguity

  • Experience leading and mentoring HR teammates

  • High degree of Emotional Intelligence

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible and adjust direction when needed

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with SI&WS Engineering leadership to create Talent Strategies that support Business Strategies

  • Collaborate with Huntsville site HR teammates to provide a range of deliverables including employee engagement, leadership development and talent acquisition

  • Develop and deploy integrated Human Resources services, processes and data analytics that drive business results for the SI&WS Engineering organization, including:

    • Talent acquisition – staffing strategies and action plans

    • Engagement, development and retention initiatives

    • Performance management and compensation

    • Succession Planning and pipeline development

    • Consultation on a range of HR-related deliverables

    • Champion a culture of diversity and inclusion

  • Enable informed, data-driven business decisions by providing robust workforce analytics, trends and consultation

  • Establish strong, collaborative relationships with business leadership and colleagues across HR, including our Communities of Excellence (CoEs), based on trust, credibility, expertise and business acumen

  • Partner closely with SI&WS Engineering LT and other key stakeholders to develop a deep, diverse talent pipeline of current and future leaders

  • Coach all employee levels including management and executive leaders on behaviors and techniques to achieve leadership excellence and culture-to-performance outcomes

  • Contribute to the development of a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion where employee experience is at the center of HR service delivery

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience partnering with leadership to design and implement talent strategies that meet organization strategies

  • 5+ years of experience executing HR action plans and managing HR projects

  • 5+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior business/functional leaders

  • 5+ years of experience implementing HR programs, policies, practices and processes

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Advanced degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or related field

  • Active US Secret clearance or higher

  • HR experience in aerospace and/or defense industry

  • Experience with HRIS platforms and technology, with preferred application experience in Workday

  • Experience navigating a matrixed organization

  • Human Resources certification(s)

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

Typical Education & Experience:
Typically 15 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience.  Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range: $128,350 - $173,650
