SALARY GRADE *	*The City of Decatur compensation plan is based on an 18-step progression system. 	The starting annual salary in the pay range (paid biweekly) for this position is:			$49,358.80
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES	This position is responsible for the enforcement of federal, state and local law and the protection of life and property. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS	High school diploma from an accredited high school or equivalent GED. Must be proficient in the English language. Possession of valid driver’s license issued by the State of Alabama. Ability to meet current requirements set forth by the Alabama Peace Officer Standard and Training Commission
