Description
When people find purpose, they become deeply engaged in that purpose, and the positive energy and measurable results are extraordinary and contagious.
Organizations need people who “fit” - who share their purpose and their values. We can use workplace values in a strategic way to draw the right talent to our organizations and make the right hiring decisions the first time. When the right people have the right jobs, organizations and communities become more positive, more encouraging, and more successful. Let's get a better understanding of our values and be intentional with the development of the future workforce!
At the next Breakfast & Biz, presented by Redstone Federal Credit Union, we will:
- Identify the ways that "fit" is used in workplace conversations and decision-making
- Evaluate organizational fitness and workplace values
- Learn strategic uses for workplace values in recruitment and hiring practices
- Apply tactical methods for improving hiring and retaining talent
The presenter for the session will be Jillian Miles, a talent management consultant with Horizon Point Consulting in Decatur who works with organizations on recruitment and selection, training and development, and more. Her background is in HR and higher education, where she designed, taught, and facilitated university courses and career development programs in the fields of management, human resources, entrepreneurship, and organizational development. She is a SHRM-Certified Professional and a Global Career Development Facilitator.
The breakfast sponsor for the event is The Decatur Daily. To RSVP before the Thursday, Jan. 23 deadline, please click here.
