Cyber Security Camp

Description

This four-day camp for 9th - 12th grade students will be held during the summer on the campus of Career Academies of Decatur. The purpose of this event is to offer students an opportunity to learn hands-on about technical skills that can lead to high-paying, satisfying careers in high growth industries. We will have 25 students participate in this camp. The students will be introduced to the field of Cyber Security. Students will become familiar with Microsoft Windows and Linux Operating Systems. They will learn to use multiple numbering systems and how these systems are used in network addressing and operating system configuration. Students will also gain experience in the areas of vulnerability identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation techniques, Wi-Fi security, IP Addressing, and Informational Ethics.
