At the Chamber's next Breakfast & Biz event on Thursday, July 13, Workforce Director Houston Blackwood will explain how the Alabama Community College System's Innovation Center can provide free training for your current and/or future workforce. The ACCS Innovation Center will open this summer in Decatur, but its team is already providing rapid training programs through its Skills for Success courses.
Businesses who partner with the Innovation Center can upskill current and/or recruit prospective new hires with Skills for Success training, creating a qualified workforce pipeline that eliminates hours of on-the-job training. Training courses for commercial driver’s license, fiber optics installer and technician, hotel operations, heavy equipment operators, food and beverage services, and meat cutting are currently available. Please register by Monday, July 10.
