Description
This intensive three-day camp provides students with practical hands-on exposure to the world of CNC machining, part design, and modeling. Participants will have the opportunity to learn fundamental CNC programming skills, including tasks such as configuring tool offsets, setting up machines, and operating CNC equipment safely and proficiently. Additionally, students will be introduced to the use of precision measuring tools. This camp is designed to cater to students entering grades 9 through 12 and takes place at the Advanced Technology Center on the Decatur Campus of Calhoun Community College.
The Chamber's Education Camp programs feature hands-on and interactive environments where students receive training and exposure to careers of the future. SWeETy, Cyber, Automotive and Healthcare camps will be the featured programs for 2024, along with the potential of others added based on the needs of our workforce community. The audience will include high school students and education leadership teams in Decatur-Morgan County.
