This month, our Commodores will hear from Decatur Fire & Rescue Chief Nathan Springer and Fire Marshal Chief Bobby Anders for a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to serve and protect our community. Building on last year’s fire station tour and visit with the crew, they’ll share how firefighters are recruited and trained, what it takes to maintain their certifications and the city fire codes and requirements business owners need to know. It will be a great opportunity to learn more about the department while also gaining practical information that directly impacts local businesses.

Description
Commodore meeting. Chamber Commodores are a highly energized and visible group of approximately 50 community business leaders, who promote the Chamber's services, connect members to the chamber, and assist in welcoming businesses to our community. As engaged members, the Commodores attend ribbon cuttings, networking event, and serve as volunteers for major events. This group is formed every Spring.
