2025 Workforce Coalition Meeting - 04/03/2025
With a mission to positively impact our current employee pipeline to build a more capable and sustainable workforce, the Workforce Coalition has a specific focus on problem resolution.
2025 Edge Student Leadership 04/13/2025 - Graduation
Edge Student Leadership is designed for high school sophomores and juniors and is comprised of approximately 36 youth from Morgan County, Decatur City, and Hartselle City Schools, as well as some private, parochial, and home school students. Edge is a development program designed to prepare high school students to become leaders in their school and community. The group meets 1 day a month for nine months, where each month focuses on a different topic: Team Building, Decatur Now & Then, Law & Order, Healthcare & Education, Poverty Simulation, Economic Development, State Government, as well as a Kick-Off and Graduation event. *Monthly meetings of Edge Student Leadership are not open to the public. The Chamber's annual 2025 State of the City is an opportunity for the City of Decatur Mayor to provide updates to the business community.
2025 After Hours - 2nd Quarter - Cross-Eyed Owl Brewing Company
Join us for After Hours, at Cross-Eyed Owl Brewing Company, on Thursday, April 24, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This come-and-go event will be the perfect opportunity to network with fellow Chamber members, exchange business cards and enjoy refreshments in a relaxed, after-work setting.
2025 Member 101 - 2nd Quarter
At this lunch-and-learn event, Chamber members will have the opportunity to meet our staff, network with new members and learn how to use their Chamber membership to its full potential. Members will also learn how to utilize our online Member Information Center (MIC) to submit job openings, news releases and events to the Chamber website.
2025 SuperStar Teacher Presentation 04/30/2025 (date to be confirmed)
The SuperStar Teacher program recognizes teachers in the Decatur-Morgan County area who show excellence in leadership, creativity, and imagination in and out of the classroom setting. SuperStar Teachers make learning fun, support their students and are active in their community. They will be recognized by the Chamber and sponsors in a school setting a given a $150 gift card for use in their classroom and a $50 gift card for personal use. School principals will submit nominations via a form provided by the Chamber and judging will be conducted by sponsors and one member of the Chamber?s Board of Directors.
