2025 Public Policy Agenda Meeting - Local (date to be confirmed)
We invite our members to join us on Thursday, September 25, at 10:00 a.m. to help shape the Chamber?s 2026 Local Public Policy Agenda. This one-hour session, led by our Public Policy Committee, will focus on reviewing and refining our current agenda to ensure it effectively addresses key local issues. Our discussion will cover a broad range of topics including economic development, education and workforce development, healthcare, transportation and infrastructure, taxation, quality of life, tourism and more. Your insights are essential in crafting policies that truly represent the interests of our business community. Please also mark your calendar for our upcoming policy meetings: State Public Policy Agenda Meeting: Thursday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m. Federal Public Policy Agenda Meeting: Thursday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m.
2025 SuperStar Teacher Presentation 09/26/2025 (date to be confirmed)
The SuperStar Teacher program recognizes teachers in the Decatur-Morgan County area who show excellence in leadership, creativity, and imagination in and out of the classroom setting. SuperStar Teachers make learning fun, support their students and are active in their community. They will be recognized by the Chamber and sponsors in a school setting a given a $150 gift card for use in their classroom and a $50 gift card for personal use. School principals will submit nominations via a form provided by the Chamber and judging will be conducted by sponsors and one member of the Chamber?s Board of Directors.
