2026 Annual Meeting
The Chamber's 2026 Annual Meeting - presented by Indorama Ventures - is an opportunity to celebrate the past 12 months in our community while looking ahead to anticipate what's next for Decatur-Morgan County. Outgoing Chair Kelli Powers, President of Decatur Morgan Hospital, will pass the gavel to incoming Chair Cindy Smith, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones.
2026 Coffee & Cards - 2nd Quarter- Pinnacle Financial Partners
You're invited to Coffee & Cards, hosted by Pinnacle Financial Partners. This come-and-go event will provide you with the opportunity to connect with your fellow Chamber members and community leaders, enjoy refreshments in a casual environment and learn more about Pinnacle Financial Partners. Remember to bring plenty of business cards!
2026 Edge Student Leadership 04/13/2026 - Graduation
Edge Student Leadership is designed for high school sophomores and juniors and is comprised of approximately 36 youth from Morgan County, Decatur City, and Hartselle City Schools, as well as some private, parochial, and home school students. Edge is a development program designed to prepare high school students to become leaders in their school and community. The group meets 1 day a month for nine months, where each month focuses on a different topic: Team Building, Decatur Now & Then, Law & Order, Healthcare & Education, Poverty Simulation, Economic Development, State Government, as well as a Kick-Off and Graduation event. *Monthly meetings of Edge Student Leadership are not open to the public. Join us on Wednesday, April 1 for our next Emerging Leaders event featuring Hunter Allen, Director of Decatur Parks and Recreation, and Lindsey Allen, co-owners of The Mallard.
2026 Member 101 - 2nd Quarter
At this lunch-and-learn event, Chamber members will have the opportunity to meet our staff, network with new members and learn how to use their Chamber membership to its full potential. Members will also learn how to utilize our online Member Information Center (MIC) to submit job openings, news releases and events to the Chamber website.
2026 Small Business Awards Celebration
The contributions of small businesses in Decatur - Morgan County will be recognized at the Chamber's annual Small Business Awards Celebration. The following awards will be presented: the Raymon Baker-John Cook-Ralph Jones Small Business Person of the Year, the Lynn C. Fowler Non-Profit Professional of the Year and the Arthur Orr Young Professional of the Year. The 2024-2025 Excellence in Leadership graduates will be recognized as part of the program so those graduates do not need to register. Members who are celebrating milestone anniversaries will also be recognized.
2026 State of the City
Please join us for the Chamber’s annual State of the City where Decatur Mayor Kent Lawrence and city leaders will share updates on the priorities and progress shaping our community's future.
