ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Optician, you will work directly with patients on the selection and fit of frames, lenses, and contact lenses, based on their medical and lifestyle needs. Many of our customers rely on our knowledge to meet both design and functional needs. You will want to stay up-to-date on the latest lens technology, lens treatments, and frame fashions, while also understanding how the dynamics of frame, lens, and face shape work together for that perfectly curated fit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in selecting eyewear that meets their needs.
  • Conduct vision tests and assess patients' optical health, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure accurate medical coding and billing processes.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing patient records and sensitive information.
  • Stay updated on optical products and trends to enhance retail sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong retail sales experience
  • Knowledge of physiology and anatomy
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams
  • Experience in optical settings
  • Understanding of vital signs and medical records management
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and laboratory procedures
  • Experience with EMR systems and retail management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
