About Us

With support from the community, the CCC has been a voice of hope for the poor, hungry, and disadvantaged of Morgan County since 1973. Over the years, we expanded and changed our services to provide our clients with a multitude of educational and leadership opportunities, support, and encouragement, as well as assistance with food and basic needs.

In the past, we were a clothing closet and provided a means for churches to pool their resources. Today, we provide a multitude of emergency and short-term assistances to Morgan County residents who have suffered from homelessness, poverty, disaster, and loss. Our 11 distinct programs include a food pantry, homeless services, clothing closet, diaper pantry, medication, and medical device services, as well as Christmas and back to school assistance for area children. We serve our neighbors in Decatur, as well as the remainder of Morgan County. Additionally, we are recognized as one of the longest-standing nonprofits in Decatur and an enduring resource in our community. In 2022, we provided over 9000 instances of service to our community and a value exceeding 1.5 million.
